PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION

Partial Hospitalization Services ::

Partial hospitalization is an important component to the programming at NECCO Center.  Conducted in its own building on campus, partial hospitalization utilizes interventions tailored to the specific needs of the individual to increase the level of functioning and prepare them for life in a less restrictive environment.

The individual needs of the resident are identified through the admission assessments and an Individual Service Plan (ISP). The ISP is an important instrument that assists our multi-disciplinary treatment team in applying specific time frames to meet outcome expectations, including those outcomes expected through partial hospitalization.

All residents are required to participate in three hours of partial hospitalization Monday through Friday.  Specifically partial hospitalization includes:

    • Psycho-educational interventions to increase residents’ understanding of their psychiatric diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
    • Skills training activities to improve interpersonal and social competency as developmentally and clinically appropriate activities to develop and reinforce positive coping mechanisms.
    • Occupational Therapy services to enhance vocational and/or independent living outcomes.
